3.1To be eligible to participate in the Event, each Participant must:
3.2Each Participant is responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport throughout the Event with a minimum of six months' validity remaining as at 9 April 2027. It is the Participant's sole responsibility to obtain any visa or entry documentation required for France, Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco.
3.3The Organiser accepts no liability for any Participant's failure to hold appropriate travel documents, licences, or insurance. Any Participant unable to participate due to inadequate documentation will not be entitled to a refund.
4.1 General requirements
Each Vehicle must, at the time of Scrutineering and throughout the Event, comply with the following:
4.2 Car Purchase Baseline and Scrutineering
4.2.1The total purchase price of the Vehicle (including all purchase costs, delivery costs, and any costs to bring the Vehicle to a roadworthy standard) is scored against a baseline of £999 inclusive of VAT, as described in clause 8. There is no upper limit on the purchase price, but the price affects the Participant's score.
4.2.2Participants must retain all purchase receipts and invoices and present these at Scrutineering for the purpose of verifying the purchase price for scoring. Failure to produce satisfactory evidence may result in a score of zero for the Car Purchase category.
4.2.3All Participants must present their Vehicle at the Scrutineering day, the date and venue for which will be confirmed no later than 28 February 2027. Failure to attend without prior written agreement will result in forfeiture of entry without refund.
4.2.4The Scrutineer's decision on all matters of Vehicle compliance is final and binding.
4.3 Vehicle disposal and retention
4.3.1At the conclusion of the Event in Algeciras, Spain, all Vehicles will by default be surrendered for disposal at a designated scrap facility. By entering, each Participant authorises the Organiser to arrange disposal of the Vehicle on their behalf, unless the Participant has elected to retain their Vehicle.
4.3.2A Participant who wishes to retain their Vehicle must notify the Organiser in writing no later than 28 days before departure. Retention is subject to the Organiser's prior written agreement.
4.3.3Where a Participant elects to retain their Vehicle, they assume full and sole responsibility for all costs, logistics, permits, insurance, taxes and risk associated with moving the Vehicle from Algeciras onward.
4.3.4Participants who elect to retain their Vehicle forfeit their pre-arranged group flights from Málaga Airport to Newcastle. No refund or alternative travel will be provided.
4.3.5Where a Participant surrenders their Vehicle, they are responsible for ensuring the V5C logbook accompanies the Vehicle to facilitate lawful disposal in Spain.
4.3.6No compensation will be payable to Participants whose Vehicles are surrendered for disposal.

5.2 Deposit and payment terms
5.2.1On submission of a registration form, bank transfer details will be issued to the Entrant by email. Payment must be made by BACS bank transfer using the reference provided.
5.2.2Early Bird entries: A non-refundable Deposit of 50% is due immediately upon registration. The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 9 January 2027. Failure to pay by this date will result in forfeiture of the entry.
5.2.3Standard and Late entries: The full Entry Fee is payable upon registration. Of the total paid, the first 50% per person is deemed the non-refundable Deposit.
5.2.4An entry is not confirmed until payment has been received and cleared. The Organiser reserves the right to release unconfirmed entries if payment is not received within 5 business days of registration.
5.4 Cancellation and refund policy
5.4.1All cancellations must be notified to the Organiser in writing to the email address set out in clause 19.
5.4.2The non-refundable Deposit (50% of the Entry Fee per person) is non-refundable under any circumstances.
5.4.3The refundable element of the Entry Fee is refundable only if: (a) the Event is cancelled in its entirety by the Organiser for reasons other than Force Majeure; or (b) the Organiser refuses entry to the Participant.
5.4.4In the event of cancellation due to Force Majeure, the Organiser will use reasonable endeavours to reschedule the Event. Where rescheduling is not possible within 24 months, the refundable element will be returned. The Deposit will not be returned in any Force Majeure scenario.
5.4.5Entry transfers to another named Participant may be permitted at the Organiser's sole discretion, with at least 30 days' notice. An administration fee of £50 per person may apply.
5.4.6Refunds, where applicable, will be made by BACS bank transfer within 28 days of the triggering event.
6.1 Roadside assistance
All Participants must hold valid roadside breakdown assistance cover applicable to the Vehicle, covering France, Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco, for the full duration of the Event (9-16 April 2027). This cover must include recovery of the Vehicle and its occupants. Proof must be declared at registration.
6.2 Vehicle insurance
All Participants must hold valid motor insurance for the Vehicle providing at minimum third-party cover, valid in France, Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco. Standard UK policies do not automatically cover Morocco; an extension or separate policy is required. In Morocco, local third-party insurance is a legal requirement.
6.3 Personal travel insurance
All Participants must hold valid personal travel insurance for the full Event duration (9-16 April 2027) including: emergency medical treatment; emergency repatriation; personal accident cover; curtailment and cancellation cover; and cover for participation in a motor rally or similar adventurous activity.
All Participants must comply with the traffic laws of each country on the route at all times. The Event is a non-competitive road journey; it is not a race and must not be driven as such.
The use of alcohol or illegal substances by any driver while operating a Vehicle is strictly prohibited. Any Participant found to be under the influence will be immediately excluded without refund.
The Organiser reserves the right to exclude any Participant from the Event at any point, without refund, where their conduct is deemed dangerous, harmful, offensive, illegal or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the Event.
Car Purchase points are awarded from the Vehicle's verified purchase price at Scrutineering: one point for each £1 by which the price is below the £999 baseline, and minus one point for each £1 by which it is above £999. For example, a Vehicle purchased for £749 scores +250 points, while a Vehicle purchased for £1,199 scores -200 points. Points in the other scoring categories (Day 1 costume, fuel economy, charity donations and pit-team content) are awarded as published on the rally scoring page.
The Organiser's decision on all scoring, awards and eligibility is final and binding. No appeal process is available.
Following the main rally route, optional activities in Morocco may be offered (including Bedouin dining, quad biking, camel trekking, and cultural excursions). All Optional Activities are entirely voluntary.
The Organiser acts solely as a booking agent for Optional Activities. The Organiser does not operate, control or supervise Optional Activities and is not liable for any aspect of their delivery, safety, or quality. All payments for Optional Activities are non-refundable once booked.
Activities such as quad biking carry inherent physical risk. Participants take part entirely at their own risk. The Organiser accepts no liability whatsoever for any personal injury, death, loss or damage arising from participation in Optional Activities.
10.1Participation involves inherent risks associated with motor vehicle use, international travel, road conditions, remote locations, and outdoor activities. Each Participant acknowledges and accepts these risks as a condition of entry.
10.2Subject to clause 10.5, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for: personal injury or death unless caused by the Organiser's own negligence; loss of or damage to a Vehicle or personal property; indirect or consequential loss; or any loss arising from breakdown, theft, accident, or events beyond the Organiser's control.
10.3Each Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser, its directors, employees and agents from any claim arising from the Participant's own negligence, breach of law, breach of these Terms, or third-party claims arising from the Participant's conduct.
10.4Each Participant confirms they are participating voluntarily, having made their own assessment of the risks involved.
By participating, each Participant grants the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use images, video footage and other media content in which the Participant appears, for the purposes of promoting the Event and the Organiser's charitable activities.
Participants who create their own content relating to the Event must do so in a manner that does not bring the Event, the Organiser, the Dragonfly Cancer Trust, or fellow Participants into disrepute.
The Dragonfly Cancer Trust is the official charity partner of the Event. The Organiser will donate 10% of the net profit from the Event to the Dragonfly Cancer Trust within 30 days of the final accounts being completed.
Each Vehicle will carry a nameplate dedicated to a young person supported by the Dragonfly Cancer Trust. Dedications are assigned by the Trust with the full prior consent of the relevant families.
LMR Management Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected in connection with the Event. All personal data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data collected during registration will be used for: organising and administering the Event; arranging ferry crossings, accommodation, and flights; communicating with Participants; and complying with legal obligations.
Personal data may be shared with: ferry and transport operators; accommodation providers; the Event first aider; the Dragonfly Cancer Trust (motivation text where consent has been provided); and Clarand Accounting (financial data only). No personal data will be sold or shared for marketing purposes.
Personal data will be retained for 6 months following the conclusion of the Event, after which it will be securely deleted, except where retention is required by law. Participants have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of their personal data by contacting the Organiser in writing. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the registration form, constitute the entire agreement between the Participant and the Organiser in relation to the Event.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Each Participant irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to the Event route, schedule, accommodation or other arrangements where circumstances require. Material changes will be communicated to Participants as soon as reasonably practicable.
Any complaint relating to the Event should be submitted in writing within 28 days of the end of the Event. The Organiser will acknowledge within 5 business days and respond substantively within 28 days.
